Please complete the pre-registration form and upload required materials to begin the registration process. The school secretary will reach out to you as soon as she has reviewed the documents. Please allow 3-5 days to receive further instructions from the secretary.

Which Elementary School?

If you are unsure of which elementary school your child will attend, contact the Transportation Department by emailing:  [email protected] or by calling 908-431-6600 Prompt #6.


Registration Completion

Please make sure you complete the entire district registration to ensure your child’s proper placement in kindergarten and transportation is arranged.


Please remember that your child must be 5 years old on or before 10/1/2024 in order to attend the 1/2 Day Kindergarten Program in the 2024-2025 school year.  There are no exceptions to this policy.

Kindergarten CAP Program

(CHILDREN AT PLAY)

Thank you for your interest in the Children at Play (CAP) program in the Hillsborough Township Public Schools for Kindergartners in the 2024-2025 school year.   CAP Lottery There will be a CAP lottery for the 2024-2025 school year on February 29, 2024.  To secure a spot in the lottery, the CAP Tuition Agreement and deposit in the amount of $660.00, which will serve as your September tuition payment, must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.  

After the lottery date, spots will be secured on a first-come, first-served basis until a maximum of 22 is reached for that school’s program.  You will be asked for the email address where you would like to receive the lottery results in the CAP tuition agreement. A minimum of 8 students is needed to run the program in an elementary school.

About the CAP Program

The CAP program is a thematic play-based extension program that aims to allow teachers time to focus on teachable moments and augment individual problem-solving situations in a relaxed and child-sensitive manner.  The CAP program provides families with an opportunity for their children to remain in their school for a full day.  Students enrolled in the CAP program will: Follow the same school calendar and schedule as a full-day student.  Students will be transported by arrangements made by parents at the start of the school year. Have a 30-minute lunch/recess break between the sessions.  Participate in daily activities that may include outdoor play, crafts, music and movement, free-choice centers, and three additional specials per six-day cycle.

If you are moving or have moved, please inform the office ([email protected]) so that we can prepare your transfer to your new school. Even if you are moving into a new home within the HES area, please contact the office so we can update your home address in Genesis.
